Getting It Write: Best Practices for Evaluators When Working with Grant Writers

Evaluators are fundamental to NSF applications -- but how can evaluators work best with grant writers to achieve a smooth process and an excellent application? This interactive session will address what to expect from a grant writer; understanding the role of a grant writer; how an evaluator can find the information they need in the grant application text; how to translate the required prompts into logic models; and how to help grant writers determine objectives. The session will be led by Natasha Goldman, PhD, president of WISSEN, Inc, a boutique grants consultancy. Goldman was an academic for 17 years before switching to the private sector. She is a two-time federal grant winner for her own research and an SBA awardee.
