TIG Mission - To raise the quality of education evaluation by serving the professional needs of educational evaluators.

Educational Evaluation TIG Leadership Goals

  • Leverage our network of Members-at-Large to improve our sensitivity to the needs of our members as they provide us with requests for information.
  • Continue to collaborate with others with similar evaluation interests, including work on mutual capacity building.
  • Continue to build our reach, both in-person and online (e.g., Facebook, LinkedIn, AEA365, personal blogs)
  • Sponsor/lead Thought Leaders weeks on topics of interests of our members.
  • Continue moving beyond organizations to networks.
  • Move from a closed-system approach to an open system approach.

Featured Presentation: Advancing Evaluation Practice Through the Use of AI Tools

As artificial intelligence (AI) continues to reshape the field of program evaluation, evaluators must navigate its potential while ensuring data privacy and ethical integrity. This professional development event explores how AI can enhance evaluation practice, with a focus on maintaining confidentiality and leveraging AI for analysis of open-ended survey responses. Through practical examples and discussions, participants will learn how to integrate AI tools responsibly, protect sensitive data, and apply AI-driven techniques to qualitative analysis of open-ended survey responses. Whether you’re new to AI or looking to refine your approach, this session will provide insights to help you evolve with the technology while upholding professional standards.

Featured Presentation: Let’s Get “Mad” in Evaluation: Using Formative Findings for and Unpacking Takeaways from Mad Topics Symposia

Let’s get “Mad” with Program Chair Kinsey Simone, Ph.D. in discussion of key evaluation takeaways from Mad Topics Panel Symposia & Praxis, which combines clinical perspectives with lived experiences to increase community mental health literacy and decrease stigmas. Key points will include: (1) challenges and successes regarding 2025 modifications based on formative 2024 evaluation; (2) effectiveness of pre-tabling mental health resource fair/providing person-specific resources; (3) importance of funding; does it matter? And (4) designing evaluation methods to inform research while giving equitable voice to various stakeholder groups.

  2. Log into your account to fill out your submission.
  3. Confirm your profile is up to date with your proper title and organization before you submit, as this is how it will appear in the Evaluation 2025 program if accepted.
  4. Hit submit! Once you submit your proposal successfully, you will receive a confirmation email.
