Educational Evaluation TIG Leadership Goals
- Leverage our network of Members-at-Large to improve our sensitivity to the needs of our members as they provide us with requests for information.
- Continue to collaborate with others with similar evaluation interests, including work on mutual capacity building.
- Continue to build our reach, both in-person and online (e.g., Facebook, LinkedIn, AEA365, personal blogs)
- Sponsor/lead Thought Leaders weeks on topics of interests of our members.
- Continue moving beyond organizations to networks.
- Move from a closed-system approach to an open system approach.

Featured Presentation: Let’s Get “Mad” in Evaluation: Using Formative Findings for and Unpacking Takeaways from Mad Topics Symposia
Let’s get “Mad” with Program Chair Kinsey Simone, Ph.D. in discussion of key evaluation takeaways from Mad Topics Panel Symposia & Praxis, which combines clinical perspectives with lived experiences to increase community mental health literacy and decrease stigmas. Key points will include: (1) challenges and successes regarding 2025 modifications based on formative 2024 evaluation; (2) effectiveness of pre-tabling mental health resource fair/providing person-specific resources; (3) importance of funding; does it matter? And (4) designing evaluation methods to inform research while giving equitable voice to various stakeholder groups.
