Dear Colleagues,
The 2011 conference is upon us and with it we have several updates.
Call for Nominations
The current term for one of our TIG Program Co-Chairs, Joanne Carman, is expiring and we are running an election to fill this leadership position for the three year term of (2012 to 2014).
The TIG Program Co-Chairs coordinate the planning and implementation of the TIG’s program at the annual conference and manage the review process for our TIG’s session proposals prior to conference.
September 30, 2011 is the deadline to nominate colleagues or yourself for this TIG position.
Co-Chairing the TIG is a great opportunity to learn about and develop the field and to connect with the larger AEA community. Get involved!
Please send your nominations to Charles Gasper at: cgasper@mffh.org
Please include a brief "candidacy statement" (about 2 paragraphs) that includes your background, why you want to be a chair, and what you would bring to our TIG.

Last year's business meeting provided us an opportunity to share some announcements and requests for help. These included the following:
The business meeting also provided us an opportunity to share some announcements and requests for help. These included the following:
- Tom Kelley asked who was planning on attending the Grantmakers for Effective Organizations meeting in June and was wondering if those that are attending would like to meet together. I will post a link or contact information for people to share their interest in meeting soon.
- A number of members expressed interest using our website for sharing tool ideas. There is a larger community for this at the AEA's community site's library - http://comm.eval.org/EVAL/EVAL/Resources/AllLibraries/Default.aspx. You are welcome to post tools here. Additionally, there are forums - http://comm.eval.org/EVAL/EVAL/Discussions/AllDiscussions/Default.aspx where ideas can be shared. We also recommend that you take a look at AEA 365 - http://aea365.org/blog where various evaluators have posted ideas, tips, and tools.
- Finally, a number of us use Twitter, Facebook, and Blog to communicate ideas to others. We will be putting together a website with links to membership who engage in this activity for you to peruse soon. If you have a Blog, Tweet, or Facebook page that you would like to share, please send Charles Gasper an email - cgasper@mffh.org and we will add you to the list.
As part of elections this coming year, we will be asking you to suggest topics for discussion at this year's business meeting. Please be sure to complete the selection when you vote for our new TIG Program Co-Chair.
