Welcome

Welcome to the International and Cross Cultural Evaluation (ICCE) Topical Interest Group (TIG) Homepage!

The ICCE TIG aims to share lessons and experiences from/with evaluators around the world. As a TIG, we foster idea exchange amongst AEA members on topics related to international and cross-cultural evaluation. The ICCE TIG is one of the largest at AEA averaging over 600 members across 36 countries.

Our TIG supports efforts such as the International Travel Awards, International Buddy Program, ICCE conference sessions, an AEA365 week, and other events as identified by our members. Membership to the ICCE TIG is open to any AEA member.

We welcome you to join us in having these important conversations!

ICCE TIG Activities for 2026

We have a couple of exciting ideas planned for this year to highlight the great things ICCE members are up to and to stay connected with one another:

ICCE LinkedIn group: Here is the link to join the ICCE TIG LinkedIn group. Please share posts, opportunities, and interesting happenings in the world of international and cross cultural evaluation!

Member Spotlight Series: We are hoping to pilot a member spotlight series where each month we’ll share a short profile and bio for one of our members to showcase their work, interests and ideas for the field of international and cross-cultural evaluation.

Webinar Series: The ICCE Board is keen to bring back our learning and sharing events where we collaborate with great experts to host webinars on a range of different topics. To kick us off, we’re planning to host our first webinar on Culturally Responsible Evaluation in June.

AEA Annual Conference: Each year AEA members present on international and cross-cultural evaluation topics at the AEA conference. In 2026, the conference is being held in-person November 16-20 in Charlotte, North Carolina. The call for the proposals closed on May 1st and accepted abstracts were announced in July/August. More information about the conference can be found here.

International Travel Awards: Thanks to the proceeds from the Silent Auction, the ICEE TIG, in collaboration with AEA, grants travel awards and waived conference registration to selected first-time international participants to attend the AEA conference. The deadline for the Travel Awards closed on May 15th 2026.

Annual TIG Meeting: Each year around the time of the conference the ICCE TIG holds an annual meeting with its members to discuss the year’s past TIG events and plan for the coming year.

ICCE Posts on AEA365: Each year the ICCE TIG contributes a week of blogs on AEA365. Take a look here to read through the learnings on international and cross-cultural evaluation that our members have been sharing.

Quarterly TIG Leadership Calls: The ICCE Chairs participate in quarterly calls with AEA and other TIG leadership. Through these calls we help advocate for our TIG members’ needs and interests as well as stay abreast of information and updates from AEA.

TIG Leadership Participation in the International Working Group: The ICCE Chair serves as a member of AEA’s International Working Group (IWG). The IWG advises AEA’s Executive Director on international issues and informs AEA policies that affect international members and conference participants. The IWG also helps support AEA’s International Engagement Strategy.  Please make sure you are signed up for AEA Connect messages with ICCE so you are notified about more details on all of our ICCE TIG activities!
