Using Scrum Project Management for Evaluation

11-20-2015 15:05

This is the PowerPoint for the AEA 2015 skill-building workshop on Scrum project management. Scrum, an iterative and incremental project management methodology, is primarily used in the software development field. As a project management methodology that focuses on the usability of its end products and the iterative process to create that end product, it lends itself well for creating useful evaluations, particularly in complex and/or dynamic settings and when a team is involved in conducting the evaluation. This skill-building workshop intended to give attendees an introductory lesson on using the Scrum framework to manage evaluation projects with examples from the facilitator's experience in local government evaluation projects and then provide an opportunity to practice during the session.
