Women, particularly in developing countries, are often poorly integrated into the technology sector. Training may be an effective means for increasing prospects for employment. Can technical training targeted to women be successful without addressing gender-based supply chain segmentation and other gender-related constraints? How can women directly contribute to achieving the greater acceptability of renewable energy technologies (RET) in rural communities? This paper addresses these issues in study of Grameen Shakti, a major RET enterprise in Bangladesh, that presents the methods in examining the issues and outcomes of a training program for rural women in Bangladesh. #2014Conference #InternationalandCross-CulturalEval #FeministIssuesinEvaluation
