The size and relevance of the Latino community in the US is growing. Every year, the Latino community in the US increases and an increasing number of organizations in the social sector and in government are implementing programs designed to serve the Latino community. As these programs are beginning to be evaluated, it is important for evaluators to share experiences and lessons learned from their work with the Latino community. During this session five Latino evaluators will reflect on their experience considering and evaluating Latino-focused efforts, particularly in education. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn a set of principles and discuss promising practices as they prepare to work with communities as multicultural and complex as the Latino community. The awareness created during this session should allow participants to improve their practice and be more culturally competent. #2015Conference
