Rubric evaluations are common evaluation tools used in education. However, rubrics can do more harm than good if not constructed properly. The purpose of this workshop is to provide opportunities for PreK-12 educators to understand how design elements are key to the construction of the rubric evaluation. This hands-on training experience will consist of examining various types of rubric evaluations, highlighting the purposes for rubric evaluations, selecting the objectives or goals of the evaluation, and determining when and how often the evaluation may be used. This workshop will also explore validation methods for rubric evaluations.#2016Conference #Eval16
