Data parties (Franz, 2013) are a valuable tool for promoting a participation in and a culture of evaluation in Extension, particularly by engaging stakeholders in participatory data analysis, as well as incorporating evaluation activities. In this presentation, we share examples from a statewide data party hosted by Oklahoma Extension. Data party activities allowed a team of evaluation specialists to engage attendees in participatory data analysis of community forum data collected just before, as well as evaluation of the Biennial conference at which the data party took place.
