11-22-2017 11:58

This session will demonstrate how City Year, an education-focused non-profit fueled by national service in 28 cities across the United States, promotes the national adoption of evaluation tools across the diverse markets in which it serves. Specifically, this session will discuss the adoption of the Devereux Student Strengths Assessment (DESSA) and reports developed in Power BI designed to progress monitor students' social-emotional competencies and highlight the elements necessary for these types of tools to be adopted with fidelity. This session will present perspectives on the adoption process from the National Impact Analytics Team and City Year sites and discuss baseline conditions required in each context for the tool to be both informative and actionable to inform program implementation. This session will serve as a case study to those seeking to implement standard practices or tools with fidelity in settings with varying conditions, such as local partners with different priorities.
