Managing data and programmatic information in a way that fosters continuous learning in an organization is no easy feat. Often, evaluators spend their time carefully designing evaluation plans and data collection tools, conducting analyses and reporting back to stakeholders. But then what? The data that was so thoughtfully collected often sits in a file, never touched again or only used when additional reporting is required. Reports get filed in obscure folders where they are forgotten. At the same time, staff demand some of the same information that was already made available to them. What can organizations do, then, to facilitate and promote the use of existing materials? This demonstration showed how Seed Global Health harnessed the power of Google’s Data Studio, a free dashboarding and data visualization tool, to create interactive and customizable data reports, showcase information, and form a repository of knowledge within the organization.
