Presentation Abstract: This is a presentation from AEA 2012 confrence on the social return on Investment for advocacy programs. The presentation and handouts that were distributed at the conference explain how Pact applied this methodology in the context of Ukraine. The report presents practical application of the methodology developed by Context, International Cooperation in evaluating the potential return on investment of advocacy programs through four case studies. The case studies take into account the potential impact over five years of the policies that were approved as a result of the advocacy campaign and investments that were made by funding agency including grants, technical assistance, level of effort of the staff of the agency, etc. The paper concludes that SROI can be useful methodology to assess the impact of particular policy on the society however it has certain limitations in measuring the indirect outcomes of the advocacy campaigns.#2012Conference #QualitativeMethods #casestudies #Advocacy #CIScountries #democracyandgovernance #Ukraine #SROI #InternationalandCross-CulturalEval
