Handout from data visualization handout by Elissa Schloesser (myvisualvoice.com) and Leah Goldstein Moses (theimprovegroup.com) Presentation Abstract: Data visualization involves translating complex data through the use of visuals to make it more meaningful. Common data visualization tools include graphs, data dashboards and maps. Data visualization can be a powerful evaluation tool for clarifying complex information, telling the story of a program, and fostering a shared understanding of a particular issue. Through a series of case study examples, presenters from Visual Voice and the Improve Group will share techniques for using data visualization as an analysis and communication tool to better engage stakeholders in evaluation projects. Attendees will leave this session with tips and resources for using data visualization in their own work, an overview of some common software packages for this work (including Microsoft Excel) and ways to evaluate the success of your data visualization designs.#HowTo #DataVisualizationandReporting #2012Conference
