10-29-2012 10:56

Co-Parent Court is a problem- solving court that works with unmarried parents to create a model for paternity establishment that supports co-parenting to improve outcomes for children, families, and communities. In order to achieve this mission, the Co-Parent Court model involves four primary components: paternity establishment and child support, co-parent education classes, individualize support for mothers and fathers, and development of a customized parenting plan. Ten distinct partner organizations including: county district court, numerous community-based organizations, and university extension services have collaborated on this project. The complex nature of this evaluation project becomes evident in the challenge of coordinating and managing the multiple partners, components and outcomes described previously. This proposal seeks to inform evaluation practice by describing how a data management system is being utilized to both monitor the activities of numerous partners and manage the evaluation data in this three year demonstration project.
