Abstract: Novel educational offerings aimed at training translational researchers in the skills necessary to pursue collaborative, team-based research have increased with the introduction of the Clinical and Translational Science Awards (CTSA). Yet evaluating team training curriculum and its impact is often challenging because of the untraditional course material, wide range of trainees, and the uniqueness of competencies trainees are expected to obtain. In this presentation, we present our evaluation of the UC Davis Clinical and Translational Science Center team science curriculum. Using a mixed methods approach that includes pre- post-skills assessment, surveys, and reflective feedback sessions with trainees, we are able to assess trainee satisfaction and skills acquisition, as well as the extent to which trainees have integrated team science behaviors into their post-training research experiences. Suggestions for presenting information to facilitate evaluation use by program leaders, instructors, and other stakeholders within and external to CTSA will be offered.#MixedMethodsEvaluation #2012Conference #TeamScience #CTSA
