Presentation Abstract: In evaluation, reporting is the mechanism through which evaluators translate complex data into understandable information. It sets the stage for the utilization of evaluation findings, and therefore is a critical skill for all evaluators. In recent years, there has been a renewed focus on the importance of reporting, particularly in terms of how to better communicate evaluation findings in ways that engage stakeholders and improve their understanding. The key elements of good communication include considerations of content structure and visual communication (i.e., data visualization). This session will show how these concepts can be addressed in written deliverables and presentations. The goal is to provide both novice and veteran evaluators with innovative ideas and concrete strategies for creating reports and presentations that will communicate their messages, engage audiences, and inspire stakeholders to action. Real-life examples will be included, as will resources for evaluators to use in their own practice. #Communication #2012Conference #DataVisualizationandReporting #Presentation #Reporting
