Abstract: Cross-cultural interviewing techniques can improve qualitative data integrity in any evaluation, whether conducted at home or abroad. Methods to enhance and improve data collection with diverse groups including international interviewees and vulnerable populations will be described. The presentation will include both theoretical and practical considerations, drawing upon current literature and concrete lessons from the presenter’s evaluation experiences. Specific case examples include collecting data with faculty members at The University of Zimbabwe and with a variety of populations “at home.” #interviewing #2012Conference #qualitative methods #QualitativeMethods #InternationalandCross-CulturalEval
