Poster Abstract: Cultural competence for all public health programs is an ethical imperative. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s National Asthma Control Program (NACP) has developed a Cultural Competence Assessment Tool to guide asthma programs in evaluating the cultural appropriateness of their efforts. This tool is described in the poster. Also described are the efforts being made by NACP to identify specific strategies to heighten the cultural sensitivity of evaluations.
