In an attempt to understand the changes in employment status among consumers participating in a mental health Outcomes Measurement System (OMS), analyses examining the relationships between statewide unemployment rates and employment rates among individuals in Maryland's Public Mental Health System (PMHS) were undertaken. Then, an examination of changes observed in annual outcome changes over time was undertaken. Given the effect of larger economic forces were demonstrated to have on mental health consumer employment outcomes, analyses were broadened to examine the effects of the State economy at large, represented by monthly unemployment and consumer price index changes, on various other outcome domains as measured in the Maryland PMHS Outcomes Measurement System.#Alcohol,DrugAbuse, andMentalHealth #GovernmentEvaluation #HealthEvaluation #2011Conference
