The Race Matters Toolkit (RMT) was designed by the Annie E. Casey Foundation to effectively analyze, address, and produce racially equitable results and opportunities for disadvantaged children, families, and communities. By using the RMT, organizations and public systems are better prepared and able to make the case, shape the message, and do their work from the perspective that race matters. However, little is known regarding the impact of the RMT. This paper includes an evaluation plan based on Coffman’s framework for evaluating systems initiatives and results of pilot data from one component of the plan. With an evaluation plan designed for a culturally responsive initiative and by a culturally responsive evaluator of color, the goal of this study is to illustrate how a culturally responsive lens can be applied to systems initiative frameworks to illustrate the impact of the RMT. #MultiethnicIssuesinEvaluation #Non-ProfitsandFoundationsEvaluation #2010Conference
