Eval10 Session 860: Let Quality Guide Evaluation Quality: Recent Trends Implemented in the Middle East

12-19-2010 06:14

At the AEA 2010 conference, session presenters defined evaluation quality through recent trends and practices implemented in building quality systems in higher education in the world particularly in the Middle East. The session showed how new trends in quality can guide applications of evaluation quality. The session explained the new drives behind quality that include transparency, transformation, and integration of stakeholders in the functioning of quality, which focus on the interaction between the various stakeholders and the development of quality through cooperation of various actors rather than through mechanistic coercion. It also showed how new quality systems borrowed from the effective evaluation tools and approaches, and successfully integrated them into multilevel staged transformative processes through designed qualitative change. Approaches include input process outcomes, empowerment, participatory, responsive, critical reflection, self evaluation, and dialectical evaluation approaches (See Attached Presentations).
