Eval10 Session 319: Reflections from applying a coplexity lens to monitoring and evaluation; Tricia Wind, International Development Research Centre

11-15-2010 14:35

Presentations by three panelists connected with a collaborative study by IDRC's Ecohealth program on applying systems and complexity thinking to the M&E of action research projects. The presentations describe the research program and why the study on M&E drove the program to integrate complexity and systems thinking into the M&E of the project it supports. It highlights the experience of a project in Lima Peru, from the vantage point of one of the key researchers in the project, and an evaluation consultant who worked with the project to initiate and implement systems-oriented outcome evaluation processes. Presentations were by Tricia Wind, International Development Research Centre; José Valle, Ecosad; and Ricardo Wilson-Grau, independent consultant.
