Minneapolis Public Schools’ REAA (Research, Evaluation, Assessment, and Accountability) department has partnered with over 300 community organizations that serve MPS students during and after school to create a mutually beneficial data sharing system. Accompanied by evaluation capacity building efforts, this system has driven continuous quality improvement across youth programming in the city. This session will introduce the key components of this partnership that allow MPS to answer evaluation questions from all stakeholders: nonprofit organizations, foundations and funders, school administration, teachers, and families. In addition, the presentation will highlight how the system’s design process centered on evaluation use, and explore the impact of that process on current utilization among various stakeholder groups.
