AEA 2015 Annual Meeting - Chicago, IL Workshop 2771 Saturday, November 14th 10:45-11:30am Conducting a literature review is an important first step in any evaluation or research project. A well developed, thorough review can be used to inform the development of the logic model, evaluation and research questions and the evaluation or research design. In this hands-on skill building workshop, we will discuss the purposes and types of literature reviews. We will provide detailed examples of critical reviews and systematic reviews. The four major steps of a literature review (search, review, analysis, and presentation) will be explained in detail and attendees will be able to practice different techniques to use within each step. Rather a literature search is being conducted for a research paper, evaluation project or dissertation; attendees will discover the purpose behind each step and develop techniques to conduct complete, efficient and informative searches and reviews. #GraduateStudentandNewEvaluators #2015Conference
