Britt Lake from GlobalGiving will discuss how the organization is using storytelling as a key part of its monitoring and evaluation strategy. In 2011, GlobalGiving collected about 30,000 stories about development efforts from community members in Kenya and Uganda. These stories are self-tagged by beneficiaries to reveal key patterns in development needs, successes, and failures in different communities. This short talk will focus on the collection methods that have allowed this project to efficiently scale.
