Have you ever been faced with the remark, “You can’t measure what I do”? Or perhaps you have even felt that way about your own work? In this skill-building workshop, we will introduce you to the success rubric as a measurement tool. We will demonstrate how this tool enables users to define what matters and then translate these definitions into both qualitative and quantitative metrics that improve their work. First, the author of The Social Profit Handbook will explain the theory behind this tool. Second, a practitioner will explain how she used the tool to enhance her organization’s performance. Finally, participants will have the opportunity to draft their own success rubric,, seeing how it can both shape performance and serve as a measurement instrument to see “where you stand” within your vision.
