The Systems Evaluation Center conducted an evaluation on the implementation of three different substance abuse disorder peer support interventions in the Emergency Department: Screening, Brief Intervention, and Referral to Treatment (SBIRT), Overdose Survivor Outreach Program, and Emergency Department-Initiated Buprenorphine.
This project was designed to better understand the benefits and challenges faced during initial implementation and to learn strategies for successful implementations in the future. Stakeholders were included during the project planning phase to help ensure the quality of the evaluation as well as promote participation from the sample groups. This presentation focuses on the methods used to conduct the evaluation, data collection and analysis, and report writing.NOTE: Presentation starts at page 6
