Paper from Session #342 at AEA 2010 conference. Paper presents results of a survey of n=320 undergraduate STEM majors at a large urban campus. The survey used measures of science self-efficacy, career outcome expectations, and hands-on research experience to better understand students' academic and career aspirations. This type of survey may be used as an indicator of campus-wide support for STEM research careers and is an example of how one might evaluate the intermediate outcomes of intervention programs designed to broaden participation in STEM.
