Poster Abstract: Change is the basis for improving organizational effectiveness, and performance. The behavioral health field is experiencing change since the inception of the recovery oriented systems of care (ROSC). Yet not all treatment providers are engaged in the transformation to ROSC. The Transtheoretical Model (TTM) is an effective public health change model that has had promising utility in organizational change. This evaluation will introduce the TTM to providers who are challenged to make changes toward a ROSC, will evaluate TTM assumptions and processes and discuss its implications to the ROSC principles. The questions to answer are: 1) why is it critical for behavioral health providers to implement the ROSC? 2) What is the TTM model? 3) What are the implications of using the TTM for the implementation of the ROSC? Using TTM to engage in organizational change will serve as example for providers that are considering implementing the ROSC.#Alcohol,DrugAbuse, andMentalHealth #QualitativeMethods #2012Conference
