The Center for Training and Research Translation has developed a multipronged approach to building practitioners' capacity to evaluate policy and environmental (P&E) initiatives. The Center's approach includes (1) an evaluation framework that details essential components of P&E initiatives and guides practitioners in creating progressive logic models, (2) exemplar P&E logic models and evaluation plans, and (3) online and in-person training on evaluating P&E initiatives. The presentation illustrates the Center's approach to evaluating the formulation, enactment, and implementation of state policy regulating foods and beverages in public schools and presents initial findings from the Center's evaluation of practitioners' response to its capacity building framework, tools, and trainings. #buildingevaluationcapacity #2013Conference #HealthEvaluation
