Want to get involved?  Here's what the TIG Leadership does!

TIG Leadership Principles

In – line with the values of community psychology and the ethical standards of evaluation practice.

  • Organizational learning: knowledge acquired by each year’s leadership cadre is passed on to subsequent leadership cadres; knowledge acquired by each leader is shared with other leaders.
  • Collegial dialogue, discussion and debate take place within the TIG leadership, between the TIG leaders and AEA, between TIG leaders and TIG members, and with other TIGs and organizations.
  • Reflection and action foster continuous learning.
  • Collaboration: TIG leaders actively collaborate with each other on all aspects of TIG business and operations for the purpose of shared decision – making.
  • Involvement: TIG leaders seek the active and meaningful involvement of all TIG members.
  • Leadership capacity building: incumbents help new co – chair, program co – chair, and webmaster acquire the skills needed to take on leadership roles for the following year, and help build the capacity of TIG members interested in taking on leadership roles in the future.
  • Evolution: TIG leaders serve on the leadership for three years: a two-year term in their position, plus one year on the leadership council so that interested TIG members have an opportunity to take on leadership roles and help to evolve the TIG.
  • Review of leadership roles and expectations: conducted on a regular basis or more frequently if need arises, as determined by each leadership cadre to determine if the status quo is sufficient or changes are necessary.
