Let’s Agree in Principle_Principles-Focused Evaluation for Multi-Stakeholder Initiatives

11-22-2019 13:09

The resource is the slide deck from the AEA 2019 panel by Heather Britt, Yve Susskind, with Micheal Quinn Patton as discussant. The presenters reviewed concepts and definitions related to developing and using principles for implementation, monitoring and evaluation; presented two cases that use principles with multi-stakeholder initiatives, one national Countering Violent Extremism action plan implemented by a government across diverse ministries, and the second an informally networked community of practice of engagement journalists. Discussion compared and contrasted the use, challenges and lessons learned about using principles in these differently structured and governed contexts.
