Building Data Dashboard to Support Data-based Continuous Improvement of Schoolwide Behavior Systems

Data dashboards provide an opportunity for schools and districts to access real-time data when making strategic decisions that affect students. The FLPBIS Project developed a data dashboard system for their project to help Florida schools and districts evaluate the implementation of their Positive Behavioral Interventions and Support (PBIS) framework and assess related student outcomes. An early warning system is integrated into the dashboards to help schools and districts identify and monitor potential areas of concern and continuously improve implementation quality. This presentation describes the process of developing the FLPBIS dashboard system, including their collaboration with Florida districts and schools and their selection and use of performance indicators. School and District-level dashboards are reviewed and implications for data-based decision making by districts and schools are discussed.
