Dr. Nicole Bowman (Mohican/Munsee) is the President/Founder of Bowman Performance Consulting in Shawano, WI. She earned a PhD from the University of WI-Madison Educational Leadership & Policy Analysis Department. Her dissertation was recognized as the first multi-jurisdictional educational policy study in the country to systemically examine how Tribal and non-Tribal educational policy is developed and implemented as public and Tribal governments interact to educate Indigenous students in K-12 public schools. She has been an active member in IPE TIG since 2006, is AEA’s International appointment on the EvalPartners' global initiative, and serves on the EvalIndigenous and AEA International Work Group.  She was a founding member of iMilwaukee. Since 2009, Dr. Bowman has worked at the request of AEA leadership and has been a journal review board member for New Directions in Evaluation, American Journal of Evaluation, Aotearoa New Zealand Evaluation Association Journal, and the Journal of Multidisciplinary Evaluation. Dr. Bowman serves as an organizational partner and trainer through the Center for Culturally Responsive Evaluation and Assessment and holds an academic appointment at the University of Wisconsin Madison’s WI Center for Education Research.
