Elmima Johnson
Dr. Elmima Johnson currently serves as Program Director, Division of Research on Learning, Education Directorate, National Science Foundation (NSF). During 30 year of service at NSF she has participated in science and technology (S&T) policy development, science education program development and evaluation and has implemented initiatives to expand diversity and capacity building in S&T and program evaluation. She also created and chaired a series of national workshops on diversity in the science and technology workforce. Dr. Johnson has taught at Michigan State University, Babson College and Boston State College. AEA service has ranged from current Board member, former AEA Representative to the Joint Committee on Educational Evaluation Standards, coordinator of the NSF/AEA HBCU Faculty Initiative, and Co-Chair, Multicultural Issues TIG. Her education credentials include a Ph.D. in Psychology (Program Evaluation) from Michigan State University. Her publications have emphasized culturally/ contextually relevant evaluation.
A member will be randomly selected and highlighted up to 3 times a year.
