This powerpoint provides three examples using GIS in the Human Services field to enhance the evaluation process. The first example is a prototype for evaluating affordable, safe, and effective housing for youth leaving foster care. The second example is a model for evaluating sites for a mental health center that will increase access. The third example uses GIS to map geographic areas with the greatest service needs for pregnant and parenting mothers. The presentation was made at the 2010 AEA Conference by Dr. Catherine Batsche, Dr. Roger Boothroyd, and Dr. Robert Lucio.
